Beware of corrupt people!

They give you one price, promise a delivery date, don’t label our boxes, change prices, don’t tell you about added fees…and straight out lie! Try and get your contract… good luck. Try and have them return phone calls or text messages, they don’t , especially if you’re a woman.

Most unprofessional people ever.

Promised a delivery of 3 days out from pickup of items. Everyday was another excuse. 11 days of being jerked around they finally show up. One person to unload… one. I couldn’t believe it.

Then they tried adding another $2500 plus fees plus surcharges on.

After arguing I told them to keep the items… he was annoyed but I didn’t care. He said he was the owner… then I said if he wanted to get paid the original amount and not a cent more he had to do it my way. No more money until everything was unloaded and put in the storage unit. He argued more that he couldn’t do it that way… I said as the owner he could do whatever it took to get the job done. I refused to budge about giving him more money and not giving him the final amount until unloaded. He did it. It took over 4 hours in 90* weather.

He was rude, didn’t like dealing with a woman, lied about sending documents. They even said they told us, which they never did, they had a 5 to 7 day window from pickup to deliver…. We were on day 11. (Eleven) ! They broke their own contract!

I could go on about this confrontational situation… but they picked the wrong person to try and rip off.

I would never, ever, tell anyone to use this company.

One star is overrated!

For the love of God, STAY AWAY!

With Atlantic Group, your move will be like a tragic soap opera.

Lies, cheating, misinformation, "theft", gaslighting and stonewalling.

The %$#k ups are too numerous to mention.

A few highlights:

24 hour delayed pickup, took ONE MONTH to deliver (promised 3-5 days), most of my things broken in the move and $4000 worth of bikes stolen in a "break-in" that happened to the unsupervised truck, zero communication, zero responsibility and then pawned it off on their insurance company for 60 cents/pound moved.

The offer to comp was $103 for $8000 in losses and damages.

Not a word, not a single returned phone call, no nothing.

SAVE YOURSELVES making the same terrible mistake I did. STAY AWAY at all cost. You'll never regret staying away, but I can almost guarantee you you'll regret using this company.

Atlantic Group was contracted by Interstate to move our belongings from Naples, Florida to Raleigh, NC on February 5-8. The move was an unmitigated disaster. Many pieces of our furniture were destroyed; most of the furniture the movers disassembled was not re-assembled even though that was part of the contract. The movers treated our belongings like it was trash. About 50 boxed items were destroyed because of the way the boxes were treated. Very few of the boxes were placed in the correct location in the Raleigh house which meant that we as 73 year olds had to move boxes from one room to another. Bevelled glass shelves were broken costing $350 to replace; our relatively new desks were marred; file cabinets with the veneer ripped off, easels were destroyed; stools in pieces; C-tables in pieces, wall units were not assembled. Crystal vases destroyed; boxes arriving at our new home as if they had been run over by a bulldozer. The movers were very good at strewing their trash all over our houses both in Naples and Raleigh -- soda cans, cigarette buts, tape dispensers, and other debris. They left our floors dirty with huge streaks of dirt; requiring hours to clean. The team argued with us when we wouldn't let them leave our belongings strewn all over our front yard at 11:00 pm one evening. Atlantic Group management had the audacity to bill us an additional $843 for wrapping furniture that WE DIDN'T even own. This was the worst business experience I've ever had in my entire life. Like Mr. Michael Beier, another reviewer said, STAY AWAY! FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, STAY AWAY!!!!!!!

Move size: 4+ Bedroom Home Service cost: $13401

Worst move ever, moved numerous times in the military with no issue. This move was horrible, they arrived late without all the packing material. Had no clue how to pack a house and were slow. My stuff arrived and none of the furniture was reassembled. Numerous items damaged from water, must have been the rental truck they were using. After 4 hours and not even close to being finished they told us they had another job and left. Things still unwrapped and not put together. Next time I’ll pay whatever it costs to hire a National professional moving company. I have several thousands of dollars of damaged things.

DO NOT USE THIS MOVING COMPANY!!! To keep this as succinct as possible. Quoted one price, paid 3x more. This was our fault for not pushing back on pack-up and/or arrival, but we were exhausted and wanting to deal with it later...BIG MISTAKE on our part. Don't sign anything unless you agree. I know that's basic advice, but still a good reminder for everyone. Movers showed up a day late, 1 mover short (taking longer than estimated), the wrong size truck, inadequate or insufficient materials (no packing tape, not enough boxes, etc.). Used our sheets and towels to pack fragile/antique/priceless items, several of which arrived broken. Art, clothes, fragile items...pretty much everything were not packed in the right boxes as committed to and expected. Responsiveness to questions throughout process was minimal to nonexistent. Unsure many times of who to get a hold of and they were usually too busy to speak...meanwhile their trucks were somewhere in the US holding thousands of dollars of our belongings. Then the icing on the cake was the insurance company. We did not agree to full coverage, and we should have opted for full coverage given the number of items that showed up damaged, BUT I don't actually think it would have mattered. Right now is about 11-months later (including numerous emails, phone calls, etc.) and we are still waiting on only a $200 check from the Atlantic Group as a result of their claims partner's investigation into our lost and damaged items. Clearly the intent of Atlantic Group USA moving, and their insurance provider CSI Pros (moving claims), is ONLY to hold and keep as much money as possible. There is little to no professionalism, responsiveness, compassion, sense of urgency, or sense of common humanity and decency. This was the most GARBAGE move I've ever had. We tried to save money, HUGE MISTAKE. Next time we'll pay a premium to go with a reputable company that owns the full process. We literally would have ended up paying the same. Instead we were BAITED and SWITCHED. We considered legal action, but at this point, given the multi-state move, too many legal hoops to jump through so chose not to waste our time on an organization that wasted ours. Normally we wouldn't put a company down, but I'm so surprised they remain in business given the lack of basic business principles this organization does not possess. Or at least didn't for us. If they do for others, fantastic. But we felt it highly necessary to speak our truth and hope no one else ever has even a portion of this terrible experience happen to them. We're retired and we wanted to be closer to our kids so we decided to move four hundred thirty eight miles and had Atlantic Group USA move our larger pieces. They gave us a complete list and helped us get it together. Our coordinator was efficient and he kept us informed. I was happy with him. And the moving crew was really top-notch. Both of the guys worked really hard and were very careful. They did everything we asked and more and made the move easy. The crew was really exceptional and we liked working with them. We were happy with our move.
